Satellite Community Homes is a non-profit property management company serving Waterloo Region, Ontario, and beyond.

    The Satellite Difference

    We are a non-profit property management company with the mandate to keep people housed; well-versed in the Housing Services and Residential Tenancy acts, we have the expertise to work with Tribunals Ontario (Landlord/Tenant Board) to either prevent eviction or move forward with eviction.

    Our Community Support services foster a sense of belonging and create lasting connections among our tenants. By empowering and assisting our residents, we cultivate communities where everyone feels engaged, connected, and supported. 

    We work on behalf of owners to identify and apply for government rebates and incentives relevant to their properties (i.e. energy efficiency, accessibility).

    Our use of reputable, local software solutions like Arcori PM and Bonfire eProcurement Solutions allows us to increase productivity, effectiveness and efficiency, while minimizing risk to our owners.

    Locally founded and operated, we are focused on creating enduring relationships within our community to benefit our owners and their tenants. Governed by an independent Board of Directors, our board members include tenants and municipal councillors representing the City of Cambridge.

    What areas do you serve?

    We manage properties across Waterloo Region, and further into Southwestern Ontario if the fit is right.

    Do you solely manage non-profit properties?

    No! We also serve for-profit clients, and find that our expertise in the non-profit sector provides great benefits to for-profit properties and their tenants.

    Do you have experience marketing rental units at full market value?

    Yes! With a portfolio balance/goal of 70% subsidized and 30% at regular market prices, we are adept in filling market rent vacancies, subsidized units, rent supplement units, and below average market rent units.

    What do you charge for property management services?

    With a small team, we are able to keep fees affordable for all clients. Our fees are set by industry standards and, depending on the services you need, range from 5 – 12% of the annual gross rental revenue.
